Being of a suspicious nature, I was sure Kindle for Android would be awkward to get used to and hard to read, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I could not be happier with my decision. The amount of whitespace is just enough to make the books legible while maintaining an adequately compact format. I love my Kindle for the ease of downloading books and for having something to read in my handbag without the bulk of a book. Having a lot of medical appointments, which always involve waiting in the reception area, my Kindle enables me to entertain myself while waiting with something to read. For day patient appointments it gives me a selection of books in my library to choose from. I still buy books as I do love the feel of holding a book and the smell books carry, turning a page holds anticipation and I must admit that I don't enjoy the same level of pleasure from reading on download kindle app Kindle.
This was for my husbands Samsung Galaxy Pro Tablet. Unfortunately after downloading from the Google App Play Store the app disappears some where in the tablet but he is unable to find it to even download kindle app it out.
Not sure if this is an issue as the Tablet has a Microsoft platform???? We are quite surprised as we never have any problems with anything from Amazon! Regretfully, this app did not work well on my android phone.
I prefer not to stay signed into an app when I have finished using the app security. But pdf file transfer from computer was not possible using kindle. When I downloaded this from Amazon it would not work, hence a one star review. Things are better now, I successfully downloaded from the Google Store. Three stars because; it did not install correctly from Amazon; for technical books it could be improved by providing multi-coloured bookmarks to code different types of entry. I have had trouble with this app, so many times I have lost count causing me to have to uninstall and re-install it.
When I try to access this app it shuts down my tablet. I have tried everything to fix the problem but so far nothing works. It is so easy even for someone like me who is not teach savvy. recently don't know what happened with the last update but it's stopped allowing me to download books saying there was errors. only way to fix it was delete the Kindle app off the phone and deregister the device.
And then reinstall the app on my phone and sign in again once I done this everything seems to work fine. I downloaded the Kindle for Android app on my son s android tablet because he loves reading. I also got Jules Verne's collection for him to read on the kindle app. Everytime he opens the kindle app it freezes and gives an error message that the app is unresponsive. On the off chance it opens up, the UI is terrible. It is almost impossible to navigate back to the beginning of the collection.
Just a terrible app all round download kindle app I am reallt surprised.
